So many theories have been floating around about how Kyle Cooke got a mysterious black eye.
And I would bet this explanation wasn’t on your bingo card!
The Summer House star answered a few fan-submitted questions during an Instagram Q&A hosted on the Loverboy page and finally addressed the injury.
“2 days ago I had a huge DJ set,” Kyle began.
“I think I single-handedly wanted to bring back the early 2000s internet trend of planking.”
If you don’t remember the viral trend from back in the day, planking involved lying face down and holding your body stiff as a board — often in random or risky locations.
Apparently, Kyle decided to give it a try on top of his DJ booth… and it did not go well.
“Yeah, I fell, and I injured myself trying to bring back planking,” Kyle concluded.
