Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s son Kroy “KJ” Biermann is asking to have his criminal case transferred to juvenile court after being indicted on seven felony charges.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, KJ’s legal team filed a motion Tuesday, Sept. 8, requesting that his case be transferred to juvenile court “for confidentiality proceedings.”
KJ, 15, was indicted by a Georgia grand jury on Sept. 3 on seven felony counts stemming from an alleged April 23, 2026, incident. The charges include aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and three counts of sexual battery against a child under the age of 16, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.
His attorney, Jason Sheffield, said that KJ’s defense team plans to “enter a not guilty plea to all charges” at his Oct. 14 arraignment. Sheffield also said he plans to file a motion seeking to have KJ “tried as a juvenile.”
If the court grants the defense’s request to transfer the case to juvenile court, KJ would face a different legal process and potentially different sentencing consequences than if he were prosecuted as an adult.
