Katie Maloney believes that Lisa Vanderpump tried to influence Ally Lewber into staying with James Kennedy after how she was treated when she divorced Tom Schwartz.
During an episode of The Viall Files, the host discussed his recent interview with Ally. From Katie’s experience with LVP, it appears she tried to manipulate Ally to stay with James Kennedy like she tried to get her to stay with Tom.
Katie validated Ally’s take on LVP:
Hearing that Lisa – a reality TV producer – tried to convince Ally to stay with James was “Not surprising, but it is shocking. I fully believe that” Lisa wanted Ally and James to stay together for appearances.
“When Tom and I were divorcing, she made me feel like I wasn’t justified or valid in my reasons.”
“Also, [Lisa] made it about her. She’s like, ‘I wrote those vows.’ Like, the constantly wanting to be acknowledged for the generous things she’s done in life, but often and unwavering.”
“It’s difficult because no one’s ungrateful. But, like, Jesus …”

Lisa was a guest on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast and responded to Scheana Shay saying she feels used by LVP. VPR veered too off course to continue filming with the original cast. It “wasn’t grounded in what it originally had been. [The] focus shifted from cast members’ work lives in the restaurant to their personal relationships.”
“I felt that we told the story. We always said together that we didn’t want to go down on a sinking ship,” Lisa continued. “We wanted to actually acknowledge the fact that it was almost unproduceable … or they were.”
