Kandi Burruss may have turned in her peach, but she’s still serving piping hot reality TV headlines.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum found herself in the middle of controversy after publicly celebrating Todd and Julie Chrisley’s release from prison. And let’s just say… the internet had thoughts.
ICYMI: The Chrisleys were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion—specifically defrauding Atlanta community banks out of more than $36 million in fraudulent loans. Todd was sentenced to 12 years, Julie to 7.
But on May 28, the couple was unexpectedly released thanks to a presidential pardon, and Kandi was kadoozing right in the comment section of Todd’s son’s post.
Naturally, a viral X post called her out—and Kandi clapped back.
“What’s the problem? Todd & I were cool before he ever had this legal issue,” Kandi wrote.
“I’m happy that him & Julie are out of jail. What y’all so pressed for?”
She made it clear her support for the family’s release has nothing to do with being a Trump supporter.
Kandi’s stance? Loyalty over politics.
