Joe Giudice discussed how his ex-wife, Teresa Giudice, convinced him to join the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast.
The Giudice’s RHONJ story:
“I just did it because [Teresa] kept bothering me about it,” admitted Juicy Joe on the All About TRH podcast.
“So finally, I gave in. Nobody even knew what the hell it was back then. I think the only show like that was the California one, and it wasn’t even that big back then.”
“So we did it, and here we go. It was like 15 years. Then, I’m deported.”
“The show, it is what it is. I don’t watch it. You know, I never watch it. I just see like little clips.”
Joe reiterated that production “would have to force me to be on it. I didn’t voluntarily walk in and say, okay, film me today. They had to like, most of the time, [tell me] we got to do this scene. I’m like, oh my God. All right, so then we’ll just do it and get it over with.”
“But it takes more time for them to like set up the cameras, do this, do that, than to do the scene. You know, sometimes it’s like a little dumb scene. And it’s like, we just literally went through all that just to do that.”
“It is what it is. But, at the end of the day, it’s a housewives show. It’s supposed to be for the housewives, not the husbands. It’s like the husband’s okay, they come in, we go out to dinner, have a few drinks, then they get, stir all the BS up. And then, you know, they like to start fights.”
“It’s like they, it seemed like that’s all they wanted to do is just start fights in a show. I mean, it’s good once in a while to start up a little fight, but I mean, not every scene.”
“What are you gonna do? Let’s just put gloves on and just start boxing.”
