RuPaul’s Drag Race two-time winner, Jinks Monsoon, explained her claim that Paige Desorbo‘s Amazon show “ripped off” a classic Joan Rivers show. Never forget, the iconic comedian hosted a YouTube/iTunes show called In Bed With Joan until her untimely death in 2014.
In Bed With Joan Paige Desorbo:
The Broadway actress detailed why Paige’s show “bugs” her so much. The current star of Little Shop of Horrors began, “Someone named Paige Desorbo is doing the same show” as Joan Rivers. “As if it was her idea.”
“It shouldn’t piss me off this much, but it really does.” She continued, “I get it. People rip off ideas all the time. I just hate seeing it done so blatantly. No nuance, no tact. Just, ‘I stole this show idea.'”

Bravo TV fans didn’t take well to Jinks’s commentary of Paige:
- What Paige is doing is definitely NOT plagiarism!
- Paige and Ciara are always in bed on so I get why she’d use the name
- It’s not that serious 🙄 She’s not profiting off Joan and Joan is no longer here.
- Paige is ALWAYS IN BED!!! 😂😂 I don’t think she tried to steal anything!!

Jinks clarified her statement:
The RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars season 7 winner clarified her statement after a blogger used the term ‘plagiarism’ in their meme. “Just wanna say: I never said ‘plagiarism’ — I was just pontificating on it — it’s since been pointed out that there were shows before Joan’s that had this motif — I apologize for ruffling any feathers, truly. 🖤🤘🏻”
