Jessi Draper posted the “rage,” and the internet took the “bait.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star addressed the online backlash after insinuating she purchased a new home with boyfriend Marciano Brunette.
“Sometimes it feels unfair when other people get to have a narrative in your life and you don’t,” Jessi began her “podcast” explanation posted on Oct. 1.
However, when it comes to her “children” or other hot-button topics, she does want to “speak on them.”
Regarding the house, Jessi clarified that it was always her plan to purchase a new home once her divorce from Jordan Ngatikaura was finalized, despite recently moving.
“It was kind of a rage-baity video, which I think are funny to do,” Jessi admitted regarding her decision to heavily suggest Marciano was involved in the home-buying process.
Since Marciano is “a part of her life,” naturally, he will be spending time in the new home — especially since the Vanderpump Villa star is making the move to Utah.
The second wave of internet chatter has to do with Marciano playing an active role in the bedtime routine of Jessi’s children, primarily her 3-year-old daughter, Jovi.
“I think there is nothing wrong with someone coming into my life who is serious about it and getting to know my kids and loving them and respecting them.”
Jessi claims her two children “absolutely love” Marciano, adding that her daughter specifically asks about him when he’s not around.
The Hulu star fully defended incorporating Marciano into her and her children’s lives sooner rather than later.
“I would be feeling weird about a relationship if they didn’t get to know my kids,” she continued.
Jessi also claims her ex-husband Jordan, with whom she shares Jovi and Jagger, supports Marciano moving into his ex’s new home.

Jessi previously admitted to having an “emotional affair” with Marciano, claiming the two only kissed twice but primarily connected emotionally.
While the “affair” wasn’t the sole reason for Jessi and Jordan’s divorce, it did create even more cracks in an already rocky foundation.
“If I did sleep with him back in the day, I would just admit it now because I’m with him now. I’m divorced.”
