In a perfectly penned piece from the New York Times, author Guy Trebay unveiled another layer of the allure behind the standout star of the 14th season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

In the litany of topics broached, Jennifer explained why she was hesitant to join the RHOBH cast when she’s a ‘real’ actress. She asked herself, “Why play a ‘real’ housewife? I didn’t know if I wanted to fully commit.”
The iconic Bullets Over Broadway actress is a gambler who “took a severe left turn and did the ‘Chucky’ movies.” She asked, “Can you imagine Cate Blanchett suddenly doing a slasher film?”
In 2024, Jennifer signed on for an even more frightening role … she decided to join the RHOBH cast. “I thought I could take it and have some fun with it. Plus, I was having intimations of my own mortality.” (I think that might be the most Jennifer Tilly thing to ever pass Jennifer Tilly’s lips … and I love her for it!)
Andy Cohen described Jennifer Tilly as “a kook, in the best possible meaning.” He even credited her for OWING her extreme wealth. He noted, “Jennifer is not only in on the joke, she wrote the joke.”

In addition to an impressive résumé, she has that greater rarity: a contented existence.” Mr. Trebay followed this read with a scroll of Jennifer’s accolades.
He didn’t stop there.
Later in his five-star piece, Guy Trebay continued to throw shade at some of Jennifer’s RHOBH cast members. “Also unlike certain of her fellow housewives, Ms. Tilly makes no secret of her humble origins.”
