Brittany Cartwright felt “triggered” by being yelled at by the Staff on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test because it reminded her of her marriage to Jax Taylor, as seen on The Valley.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Brittany discussed leaving on day one, especially after her ex told her she probably wouldn’t last a day.
Jax’s reaction to Britt’s Special Forces performance:
Brittany admitted, “He just kind of laughed. I didn’t even let him know that I had already left; I just showed up to the house. The flight was a whole day as well. So, I didn’t want to give him the satisfaction that I left, which sucks.”
“It sucks. It put it in the back of my mind. ‘Maybe I’m not going to be able to do that.’ Special Forces is very much about your mindset. In the time of my life and dealing with all that other stuff I was going through, Jax writing me those messages, and everything else – it did not help me at all.”
Brittany spilled that Jax wants to be on Special Forces. “He wants to do it so hard. I would like to see him try.”
Brit was “proud” of herself for getting out of her comfort zone:
In August, Brittany was a guest on Tom Schwartz’s podcast. She admitted she cried “at least three times” while filming Special Forces. “Let’s just say I tried.”
Cruz’s mom continued, “It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I’ve been very open about heights and how that terrifies me. So, doing different things like that, I’m proud of myself.”
Unfortunately for Britt, she course ended up being too difficult for her. After Brittany struggled to get out of the helicopter and run uphill carrying sand, she quit. “I’m, like, dying, sorry,” the out-of-breath Bravolebrity told Special Forces trainer Jovon “Q” Quarles. “I can’t. I don’t think I can make it.”
A defeated Brittany lamented after agreeing to go home, “I knew I was gonna be first. I f*cking knew it. So embarrassing.”
