Olympian/Season 33 Dancing With the Stars finalist Ilona Maher went viral for her enthusiastic (yet NSFW) hand gesture will sitting in the DWTS ballroom alongside Alan Bersten and Andy Richter on ‘Yacht Night.’

The professional rugby player was showing love to her former partner, Alan, and Andy when the audience camera was on their group. Ilona used her thumbs to point at the DWTS favs around her, then stacked her fists on top of the other and mimed speaking on a microphone — But that’s not how it landed.
Instantly, Ilona clocked that the hand and mouth movements looked out of place for a family show. It was evident she wanted to fade into the background, but the look on her face when she realized her mistake made the blunder even funnier.
The hilarity of the situation wasn’t lost on Alan or Andy, who had a good giggle at Ilona’s expense.
Ilona instantly explained her intention. She mouthed that she was pretending her hands were a microphone. Later, she posted the following message to her Instagram story. “Guys, I was trying to mimic talking into a microphone. Note to self: that doesn’t translate with hand gestures.”
