Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Gretchen Rossi offended the entire cast when it was alleged she ‘liked’ several anti-LGBTQ posts, but one of the housewives gave her some grace.
Gretchen maintains she didn’t like the posts:
During the RHOC After Show, Gretchen explained, “I’m just so confused because in my heart, there’s no way I would like a post like that.” Slade Smiley’s longtime partner wondered, “What am I supposed to say to this? I know fundamentally in my heart what I feel and what I believe. How are you supposed to defend that moment?”
Gretchen reasoned, “So you’re going to tell me these things have been out on the internet, I’ve been ‘liking’ all this stuff, and nothing has been picked up by the media? It’s nowhere except on this one Twitter feed that Tamra is the only person who happens to be following that account.”
“Gina and Emily were so angry because they stayed up all night looking for that post, and they couldn’t find it,” continued Gretchen. “Then I went and looked for the post. I could not find it.”
“I was legitimately in shock and confused. Then, it just got weirder.”
Shannon Beador entered the chat:
She explained that Emily Simpson was triggered by Gretchen’s lack of emotion to the horrible claims against her. But, Shannon understands that not everyone reacts how Emily does.
“Other people react in certain ways. David Beador laughs. Gretchen was blindsided. Some people are deer in headlights. Some people [like Emily] are very vocal. I don’t want to judge Gretchen based on her reaction.”
Shannon added, “I just can’t imagine Gretchen doing something like that. I’ve seen a kind, devoted mom, a faith-based gal, and a girl who has a lot of friends in the LGBTBQ community. So, I don’t know. I’m waiting with you. I’m just waiting to see what happens. Something doesn’t make sense about all of it.”
