RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 contestant Gottmik was arrested for DUI earlier this month.
According to reports from TMZ, Burbank law enforcement was contacted around 4:50 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Police officers responded to a traffic collision that involved a black Porsche and multiple parked vehicles. “The driver of the Porsche collided with a parked Toyota Camry, which eventually hit two additional vehicles.”
Gottmik, aka Kade Gottlieb, was the Porsche’s sole occupant. According to police, the driver “displayed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication” and was arrested for DUI. He was released the next day on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Drag Race alums called out 30-year-old for their irresponsible arrest on social media. Season 18 contestant Briar Blush said, “Economy so bad Gottmik didn’t wanna pay for an Uber.” Season 14 finalist Daya Betty also chimed in on X, asking, “Girl, you can’t afford a ride share?”
This isn’t Gottmik’s first controversy. Earlier this year, she faced backlash for attending and posing for photos at Marilyn Manson’s birthday celebration alongside fellow drag superstar, Violet Chachki.
