Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant gave an update on Karen Huger’s well-being since she started serving her prison sentence.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Gizelle told Andy she’s not worried about her imprisoned co-star.
Karen in the clink:
“I have been in contact with someone who is very close to her about her safety,” explained Gizelle.
“From what I understand, they looooove her up at where she is right now. They absolutely love her … loving the Grand Dame.”
Andy interrupted Gizelle to honor one of Karen’s requests and not use the Grande Dame term any longer. “The artist formerly known as the Grand Dame,” he joked.
Gizelle told Andy, “She’s running that thing.”
“Yes. [The other inmates] love her.” She added, I feel very good that they’re safe.”
According to the Love Hotel star, she’s spoken to Karen’s husband since she’s been incarcerated. “I have [spoken to Ray Huger]. He is still adjusting.”
Giselle also noted that “Karen and Wendy have not spoken since the reunion. They probably will not for a very long time.”
Kurrrn in the clink:
The RHOP starย was denied work release after being sentenced to a year in prison after her 4th DUI.
This news comes two months after Karen Huger began her stay in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after being found guilty on multiple driving offenses.
The Washington Post reported Karen isย โcollecting good behavior credit while behind bars.โ But, she was still denied an opportunity to get out of the traditional prison environment while still serving time.
Karen โvolunteered for the work release program, an offering geared toward rehabilitation that sometimes places inmates in a dormitory-style building rather than a traditional prison. However, the judge presiding over her case shot that request down swiftly and issued a โdisapproval of transfer.’โ
