Next Gen NYC star, Gia Giudice, took to her podcast to respond to those who felt her asking the President to allow her father, Joe Giudice, to re-enter the country was laced with “privilege” and “entitlement.”

Gia responded to her critics:
“I’m sure most of you saw that I posted a little video on July 4th in hopes of Trump pardoning my father. I did not intend to post it on the 4th of July.” Gia elaborated on how busy she is with work and didn’t consider the timing of her request.
“I have so much respect for my country, and I was not trying to show any privilege or entitlement. I was not trying to do anything strategic. There was no motive behind anything. I wasn’t strategically trying to post that video on the 4th of July.”
“[Upon] seeing the comments, I felt horrible.”
“I did not realize that I posted it on the 4th of July. And once the comments started flooding, I realized I probably should not have posted this today. Maybe I should have waited a day.”
“I just wanted to use my platform to bring awareness to my father’s case. I do not think that I am privileged.” Gia reinforced, “I have immense respect for my country.”
“This is why when you have a platform like this, you do need to be very cautious of when you post and what you post. Because my intentions were all with love and no ill intent at all, but the public viewed it a different way. So the video was ready, there was no ill intent, and I just posted it.”
“So, I hope that you all can go back to that video and see it in a different light. Everyone deserves a second chance.”
