Dancing With the Stars already has a stacked cast going into its 35th season, but (unfortunately) John Stamos won’t be competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in the foreseeable future.
The Full House star made an appearance on The Bobbycast podcast and made it clear that he has no intention of joining the DWTS cast.
The pod’s host and DWTS winner, Bobby Bones, asked if the ‘Uncle Jesse‘ actor had been asked to be on the ABC competition series before. According to John, he’s been asked “every single season.”
“I said, ‘Don’t ever ask me again,’” Stamos said. “I’m never gonna do that show.”
“What makes that show good is people suffering and looking like fools. They’re breaking their feet, calluses,” John continued, “I don’t want that.”
Never forget, Bobby Bones won the Mirrorball in 2018, beating his Fuller House co-star, Juan Pablo Di Pace. “That guy won that year, and you shouldn’t have won,” John trolled. “Oh my God, that was an upset. That kid, he got 10s all across, and then some jackass came in and beat him. That’s you? Oh my God, I’m done with this podcast.” John joked that Bobby Bones’ season of DWTS was “rigged.”
While John won’t compete on Dancing With the Stars, he joined the Beach Boys for a medley performance of their hits during an earlier season.
In 2010, he tweeted that he didn’t see himself appearing on the show, despite fan hopes that he’d join … and pro Karina Smirnoff calling him a dream dance partner. “I’m not doing Dancing with the Stars. Flattered to be asked,” he wrote at the time. “I’m not a dancer.”
