Erika Jayne continues to remain on non-speaking terms with her disgraced ex-husband, Tom Girardi.
At the end of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 finale, Erika has a candid conversation with Kyle Richards about Tom’s guilty verdict.
The once highly respected attorney was convicted of four counts of wire fraud.
“When I found out about the verdict, the wall started to close in — it immediately took me back a couple of years when everything was just out of control,” Erika told Kyle during the finale.
“My drinking, my medication, it was just all of this pressure. And I thought, ‘Oh, my God. It’s happening again. It’s happening again.’ I literally felt like I was being dragged down, like I was being dragged under the ground.”
Yet, EJ detailed her complicated feelings regarding her twenty year marriage and how she never thought this was how her story ended.
“It’s time to move on,” Erika continued on the Beverly Hills After Show.
“I could accept the fact that one day he would be gone, but not like this.”
The couple have a 33-year-age gap, which “The Pretty Mess” long reconciled.
Currently, Erika and the 85-year-old have zero contact. Which she doesn’t plan on breaking anytime soon.
I truly can empathize with Erika and this situation. You are married to this man (for money, albeit) for two decades, and as it ends, have nothing to show for it. Just misery, regret, and debt.
As for Tom Girardi, he currently awaits sentencing and medical evaluation.
