Bravo TV’s Diamonds And Rosé Drag Brunch – A Review!

bravo tv drag brunch los angeles la not all diamonds and rose

In the words of Lisa Vanderpump, “Life isn’t always diamonds and rosé, but it should be!”

Your gals here at Taste of Reality attended Bravo TV‘s Drag Brunch at the Diamonds And Rosé Experience in Los Angeles. We brunched with Bravo on Sunday, August 11th from 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm.

This was our second time visiting this pop-up as we checked out the experience on Friday, August 9th. If you get tickets for Drag Brunch, there is no reason to check out the experience separately, for the record. Check out Imani’s review of the overall experience!!

Logistics:

Only a mile(ish) away from SUR, TomTom, and Something About Her, Bravo’s in-lieu-of-BravoCon event was found in a busy West Hollywood shopping area. A 13 minute Lyft ride took us from Something About Her to the venue for $10.51 plus tip. While this would be a very doable walk depending on the season and time of day. It was TOO HOT to spend a second more outdoors than necessary. Unfortunately, the venue was hot AF as well!

We reserved a table for two for $150. With taxes, fees, etc, it came to $173.38. With the cost of admission, guests received a welcome mimosa and an entree. Again, you can get all of the photo-ops that the regular experience provides while you’re here. There’s no need to pay for both (like we did!)

There isn’t an ATM machine, but there is a charming human who \ you can Venmo money to in exchange for cash to tip the talent. A handsome man instead of a dirty machine that charges fees? Yes, please!

Did I mention how hot it was? Thankfully, I brought my ‘Heated’ fan from the Beyoncé tour, but we still struggled with the temp. We needed Kathy Hilton box fans in a major way.

*Note to our friends at Bravo TV … this would be a perfect opportunity to add branded ‘folded fans’ to the merch store.*

The food and drinks:

While we didn’t order any specialty drinks, the welcome mimosa hit hard on such a hot, summer afternoon. The experience did provide a list of themed “cockies” in addition to a full bar.

The food was mediocre. We grazed on the Period! Dot. Tater Tots and the Luxury Is Necessity Fruit Salad. Keep in mind, we just split three sandwiches at Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s popular sandwich shop ahead of time AND we had dinner plans at Jax’s that evening (review to come!)

The tots were exactly as stated. Potatoes, cheese, bacon, pico. Can’t go wrong. Since the fruit plate was offered as an entree, I thought it would be more impressive. Though the portion was small, a bowl of fresh fruit always hits … and tajin makes everything better.

The Drag Show!

While the talent seemingly rotates, we saw Queens perform as Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Melissa Gorga, and Meredith Marks.

Hosted by Glitteress as the bath-loving Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, Glitteress (lol at her name!) pumped up the small but enthusiastic audience with her crowd work. She labeled me as “An Agent of Chaos” and I’ve never felt more seen.

In addition to Gliteress as Merdith Marks, the show featured Lorelei as Lisa RinnaTiffany Vogue as Lisa Vanderpump, and Barbara Please as Melissa Gorga. Each of the Queens served Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent (IYKYK.)

With the intent of not spoiling the show, here’s a video of Imani getting down to Tiffany Vogue‘s portrayal of LVP!

You may see a different cast of characters:

Glitteress (aka Meredith) also appears as Lisa Barlow. I love that! Barbara Please (aka Melissa Gorga) doubles as Scheana Shay, and Loralei also stars as Luann de Lesseps.

Also on the cast list is Lauren Banall as Erika Jayne, Shanita Blunt (lmao) as Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss, Acacia Forgot (I’m dead) as Kim Richards and Kate Chastain, and Karen Beaches as Luann de Lesseps and Kim Zolciak.

Final thoughts on Bravo’s Drag Brunch:

I’m a lover of all things Bravo TV and RuPaul’s Drag Race, so this was right up my alley. As stated earlier, I don’t want to spoil the drag show, but the Queens had fun references to The Housewives throughout their sets.

Between the cost of tickets, the tip for the server, and tips for the talent, it’s about $120, if you don’t order extra food, drinks, or merch. Compared to a total cost for a drag bunch in Vegas, this is slightly more, but not much … especially if you factor in the photo-op experience.

Would I go back? If I lived in LA, I’d possibly go back. As much as I enjoyed all of the Queens, it’s cool that the talent changes. For no other reason, I’d return in hopes ‘Phaedra Parks‘ was appearing!

The Drag Brunch at LA’s Diamonds And Rosé Experience is every Sunday from August 25th – October 13th with shows starting at 10:45am until 2:15pm.
