Dancing With the Stars is cranking out even more announcements!
The competition reality show just announced a brand-new spinoff: Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.
Variety reports the series will feature up-and-coming professional dancers living in a house together while competing in a grueling audition process.
The winner will land a coveted spot as a pro dancer on the next season of Dancing With the Stars.
The spinoff is reportedly eyeing a summer debut on ABC and Hulu.
Wildlife conservationist and season 34 winner Robert Irwin is in talks to host the series.
Three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas is being eyed as a judge, along with his mother, Shirley Ballas, aka “The Queen of Latin.”
Shirley, a professional ballroom dancer, has served as the head judge on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing since 2017.
Additionally, a rotating mentor or pro is expected to join them at the judges’ table each week.
And that’s not all!
In addition to this spinoff, Dancing With the Stars recently announced its first-ever immersive fan experience: DWTS Con.
The convention takes place July 31 through August 2 in Palm Springs. Tickets go on sale February 14, with VIP upgrades available.
It definitely feels like DWTS is leaning into the younger demo, and I, for one, am here for it!
