Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro is smashing ratings!
Deadline reports the spinoff debuted to a total audience of 5.33 million viewers after three days of viewing across ABC, Disney+, Hulu, and digital platforms, according to Nielsen Big Data + Panel.
The premiere also earned a 0.86 rating among adults 18-49.
For comparison, the Season 34 premiere of Dancing with the Stars drew 5.5 million live + same-day viewers last fall.
By the finale, the series had grown to nearly 10 million live + same-day viewers, making it the franchise’s highest-rated and most-watched finale in nine years.
ICYMI: The Next Pro marks the first major expansion of the DWTS franchise since its 2005 debut.
The competition series is searching for the franchise’s next professional ballroom dancer ahead of Season 35 and is hosted by reigning Mirrorball champion Robert Irwin.
According to Nielsen, The Next Pro delivered ABC’s strongest summer series debut across all genres since July 2020.
On linear television alone, the premiere ranked as the night’s No. 1 program, drawing 4.42 million viewers and a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The spinoff also currently ranks as the top alternative series premiere of the television season across broadcast and cable, excluding programs that benefited from NFL lead-ins.
Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streams the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
