DWTS season 34 champ Robert Irwin is hosting a new spinoff series, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.
The announcement:
Your friends here at Taste of Reality attended Hulu’s Get Real Event in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, April 22. We learned the DWTS spinoff will feature long-time pro, Mark Ballas, and his mom, Shirley Ballas, a head judge on Strictly Come Dancing, as judges.
They will be joined by a rotating lineup of returning pros who will serve as mentors and guest judges. Details about the returning pros and contestants are expected at a later date.
The Next Pro is a combination of competition and drama. “Featuring 12 up-and-coming dancers who move into a house together, the housemates will compete through the audition process, vying for a spot as a pro dancer on the upcoming Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.”
“Crikey, this is going to be fun,” exclaimed Robert from the stage at the event. Shirley added, “Now it’s time to find the next pro who can keep up with our seasoned pros. And, whip these rookie stars into shape.”
