The Commissioner ruling over The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen‘s case clocked Dakota’s “calculated” and manipulative behaviors.
The Commissioner saw through Dakota:
After hearing both sides, Commissioner Russell Minas shared that he believes “the nature of Taylor’s conduct is “really reactive and inability to control emotions,” while her baby daddy’s actions were “calculated.”
“I think that there is some manipulation,” Minas said of Dakota. “I think there may be an obsession that they may have with each other as well.”
However, Minas expressed he has “mixed feelings” about resuming the exes’ former parenting agreement; currently, Dakota has temporary custody of their son, while TFP is allowed “up to eight hours” of supervised parent time each week. He will issue a ruling on whether to expand Paul’s privileges within 10 days. “I’m weary Dakota may use that as a way to manipulate and control her.”
Minas noted, “I haven’t really seen a case where the video evidence was a handheld video, as opposed to say it being a Ring camera. He’s holding the child in his arms when she’s attacking him. I didn’t view the video as he’s trying to leave and get the child out of there. I viewed him standing there, more interested in the video.”
The Commissioner added that there was another video of Dakota sitting in a truck arguing with Taylor on the phone, which was filmed by a third party. “I think part of that is a greater concern about preservation of evidence, and it was about removing the child from the situation.”
