Ciara Miller and Tefi Pessoa are pushing back after the latest episode of Love Island USA: Aftersun.
The Aftersun co-hosts each took to Threads following Saturdayās all-new episode to defend their Casa Amor opinions.
āYou guys need to f-cking relax. We film for 6 hours. Perspectives get left on the cutting room floor,ā Ciara began her Threads clapback.
The Summer House star continued,
āDonāt talk to me about how I āfailā to see any person of colorās perspective or how I need more āempathy.ā Iāve quite literally lived it.ā
For context, some fans took issue with how Ciara and Tefi reacted to Aniya Harvey choosing to remain loyal to KC after Casa Amor.
Meanwhile, KC fully embraced the Casa experience by exploring connections with several of the bombshells.
The co-hosts argued that KC was simply playing the game as intended.
Tefi also shared her own post, reminding viewers that she and Ciara have no creative control behind the scenes.
āIām not an executive producer on the show & while me and C can suggest ideas, we do not have access to footage or voting or anything like that,ā she wrote on June 27.
Additionally, both hosts addressed just how much footage is left on the cutting room floor, noting they film for roughly six hours despite the final episode being only one hour long.
āWe cannot please everyone because we are human. thank you for watching,ā Tefi concluded.
Ciara also responded directly to a Threads user who accused her of lacking empathy for Aniya.
āYou think I donāt understand Aniyaās predicament?!?!? Be so fucking for real. We film for 6 hours. Thereās a lot of perspectives that get left on the cutting room floor. Spare me,ā Ciara wrote.
The Love Island USA fandom is incredibly passionateāand just as opinionatedāwhich clearly extends to Aftersun.
Damned if you do, damned if you donāt!
