Caroline Stanbury has suffered a severe case of conjunctivitis.
The Real Housewife of Dubai first updated her TikTok followers three days ago when her symptoms began.
“Only half of my face woke up this morning,” Caroline shared.
In the below video; her eye is inflamed and not fully able to open.
In the series of videos the Dubai star posted, the infection only gets worse — causing the entire side of her face to swell.
Later in the day, Caroline went to the hospital when her eye began to *trigger warning* ooze a thick substance.
Eye’ve Seen Enough
Caroline (with Sergio by her side) got an MRI completed when she began getting headaches. Doctors wanted to be sure bacteria hadn’t spread behind the eye.
Another update: Caroline describes intense eye pressure and inflammation — which could last up to two weeks.
The official diagnosis after two days of medical treatment was orbital bacterial conjunctivitis.
To me, the bigger story here is how Sergio has been wonderfully by her side through the entire process.
The 19 year age gap between them is quite staggering and very easy to judge. But seeing how attentive and loving he is makes it clear why she fell in love with him.
“People ask me, why did I marry a younger husband,” Caroline said in one of the latest updates.
“I love you, you still look beautiful,” read the note Sergio delivered alongside her morning coffee.
On the tail end of the saga, she and her hubby have embraced the chaos and begun making fun TikToks in light of the situation.
Interesting note — the day before her eye flare up, Caroline received a medical treatment where she’s seen wearing protective eye guards.
Perhaps the med spa hadn’t properly sanitized the eye googles as well as they should have…
