Family Karma will follow the lives of seven Indian American friends ( as well as their parents, and their aunties and uncles and cousins, etc.) as they navigate cultural traditions and their day-to-day lives in Miami, Florida. “Our parents basically founded this community,” Vishal Parvani said in the FK trailer. “They had arranged marriages — we had arranged friendships.”

The latest show to Bravo’s line up will also focus  on the cast’s personal history together. Cast members Monica Vaswani said the friends grew up going to temple classes together. And while this show is likely to expose audiences to the exciting and interesting cultural elements of this group of friends, it’s also packed with relatable issues, such young adults searching to find themselves and/or a partner, all while their wacky relatives pressure them to figure it all out ASAP.

Anisha Ramakrishna reflected on performing dances together for Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. “We’re like family. We’re going to be friends, always. Like ‘The Babysitters’ Club.’” The trailer alone features the group clashing and celebrating, as is expected, but also shows the heart and humor throughout the show.

The suits at NBCnews.com reported “These friends are determined to live life to the fullest and navigate the pressures of adulthood, while maintaining their deep-rooted connection to the Indian culture.” With this many friends and family members living together, “what goes around, comes around” takes on a whole new meaning.

In case you’d like to watch the preview, I got you!!

The show is sure to be an eye-opening look at their Indian culture, and by following such a multi-generational group, also guarantees a well of family drama, and the Taste of Reality team is HERE FOR IT!!!
