Bravo TV host/executive Andy Cohen thanked micro-dosing weight loss medication for his transformation.
Andy’s journey to GLP-1s:
Although he was reluctant to use meds like Ozempic or Mounjaro, Andy had a change of heart. His doctors said the drug “actually is beneficial to a lot of elements of health. I finally said yes.”
GLP-1 medications helps manage blood sugar, reduce appetite and slow stomach emptying so the person taking it will feel fuller for a longer period of time, and are the reason why so many celebs have lost so much weight.Â
Andy said the meds helped him cut down on snacking. “It really helped me with cravings, which I was having a very hard time with. I would have a drink, then there are all these cookies. There’s craft services. It’s pasta night. It’s pizza night. My cravings for all that stuff dissipated.”
How GLP-1s changed Andy’s routine:
Andy explained he has to be “more disciplined with diet and with working out.” Since using the weight loss meds, Andy’s workout regimen includes lifting ‘heavier weights’ and eating better.
“No snacking or excess drinking,” continued the WWHL host. “I am still drinking, but not crazy. Perhaps, most importantly, I’m not snacking after the craving [I get] after I drink.”
Andy acknowledged how fortunate he is to even obtain the meds:
Others’ lack of access to medical care and insurance wasn’t lost on Andy. He noted how lucky he is to be in a position to have health care. In fact, this insurance covered part of the cost.
Without insurance, weight loss drugs can be as much as $1,200 a month.Â
“This is a revolutionary drug. I’m so happy to have been on this journey under the care of a doctor.” Andy’s also worked with a trainer to make sure that “we have done this right.”
Andy hit his goal weight and stopped micro-dosing:
“I will say, my appetite returned from the micro-dose,” detailed Ben and Lucy’s dad. But, I feel like it caused me to reframe my relationship with food because it was sh*tty before this.’
The Bravo star said it would be “completely hypocritical not to share” his weight loss secret.
Andy didn’t want to be “the guy who’s suddenly lost 25 lbs. but isn’t mentioning it.”
This just in …
There’s a blind item from Crazy Days and Nights regarding Andy’s ‘micro-dosing.’
“Speaking of blow, the talk show host isn’t just micro-dosing the weekly shot.”
“It doesn’t work like that. He is taking a full dosage. He just likes to make it seem cooler.”
