Whitney Leavitt gave insight into Fruity Pebbles incident on The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives with fellow MomToker, Demi Engemann.
On an episode of the The Squeeze podcast, Whitney broke down what happened on Hulu’s hit, TSLOMW, as a result of giving a gift box full of Fruity Pebbles to Demi on camera.
Fruity Pebbles GATE:
During her conversation with actor Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor (lol), Whitney explained why she and Demi clashed. “Another thing that was kind of funny, at least I try to laugh about it … the Fruity Pebbles incident.”
Acknowledging the absurdity of what Whitney just said, she admitted, “I never thought in a million years I’d be putting those words together.”
“But, the Fruity Pebbles incident … I had called Demi ahead of time asking if it was ok. I knew that it was sensitive and very private sexual innuendo [in] their relationship; I didn’t want to cross a boundary. So, I called her and I asked her.”
Demi and her husband, Bret Engemann, “thought it was funny” claimed Whitney.
Unboxing the drama:
“The reason I’m upset in that episode is because [Demi] reacted in a way that she was offended. So, I had felt sabotaged,” explained Whitney.
“I was getting in my head.” She wondered, ‘Was this a decision [Demi] made to make me look bad on purpose?’ So, that’s why you see that reaction.”
“It wasn’t because she was upset,” clarified Whitney. “If I had given someone a gift and they genuinely were upset about it, I would would feel not only embarrassed but so horrible that I had done that.”
“But, that’s why I was upset in that episode … in ‘The Fruity Pebbles Incident.'”
In case you aren’t wise to what Fruity Pebbles represent to the MomTokers, Betches posted an excellent explanation.
