Andy Cohen Reacts to Production of Vanderpump Rules Season 12 “On Pause”

Vanderpump Rules On Pause Andy Cohen

Vanderpump Rules filming will not continue this summer as the network puts production “on pause.”

On the heels of the scandal that shook the nation, the popular Bravo franchise is halting production and changing their filming schedule for season 12.

Bravo daddy Andy Cohen (who is not involved in Vanderpump Rules) shared his thoughts on his SirusXM radio station, Andy Cohen Live.

“We used to do this all the time with the housewives,” the radio host began. “Let’s put cameras down for four or five months, and come back to them and they will have lived, you know, life. Things will be different.

During Tuesday night’s Watch What Happens Live After Show, Cohen mentioned that he and Ariana Madix discussed the short turnaround time between when the “Scandoval” news broke in conjunction with filming picking back up.

“People forget that we picked up cameras three months after she found out about that affair. So that’s why she’s still in the violently angry stage and you can understand that.”

Much is happening in the VPR world — Something About Her opening this May, Lala Kent expecting baby number two, and Ariana Madix filming Love Island. We can expect much more from our favorite former SURvers.

“Sometimes you do want people to live their lives and see how things develop.”

“I think it’s a very good idea,” Cohen said.

However, the Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley, is reportedly still planning to film this summer. Bravo hasn’t officially picked up the series, but all signs are pointing to a green light!

Do you think it’s a good thing for Vanderpump Rules to go “on pause” or is this a sign the end is near?
