Arm chair experts:
“Well the internet told me I was autistic,” began Ron, “and was right. You win this round. Still not gay yet.”
“Thanks The Traitors US for helping me find out more about me through some type of cruel trauma.”
Ron’s Instagram story continued, “Well, at least I can get back to editing my comedy special now!”
A comfort in the castle:
It’s no secret that Ron had a hard time making connections in the castle.
Despite being marooned by the majority of the cast for bringing Porsha Williams to banishment, Ron revealed that there was one competitor who had empathy for him.
“Not supposed to talk about off-air things,” Ron wrote, “but I have to thank Yam Yam [Arocho] for noticing my heartbeat during the episode five challenge.”
Ron added that Yam Yam helped him figure out “I was having my first ever anxiety attack. I thought I was going to die. You still voted me of though, ya jerk.”
Ron’s experience with autism:
The comedian previously used his platform to raise awareness and understanding of the neurodivergent community after his son Malcolm, who is now 21 years old, was diagnosed with autism.
“I honestly didn’t know I myself had Autism I thought I was just an ally and parent of an autistic child,” he wrote via Threads on Wednesday, January 21. “But the way I felt I wasn’t being comprehended or understood while I thought I was being direct and seeing some of my own mannerisms made me start the process of going to get a diagnosis.”
Along with Malcolm, Funches is also the father of a 3-year-old son, Teddy. He’s been outspoken through the years about advocating for his eldest child.
The Traitors airs on Thursdays on Peacock.
