The trailer dropped for E!‘s The Golden Life, and there’s no shortage of drama in sight for Real Housewives of New York alums Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, and Dorinda Medley.
Fans got a first look at the RHONY Legacy stars who moved to Florida for a more “zen” life. But, they remain New Yorkers to their [Big Apple] core.
What to expect:
The trailer showed Palm Beachers writing letters to their friends in Manhattan, explaining how their lives have evolved since being on Bravo TV’s hit show.
“We’ve been mostly keeping quiet,” Dorinda said. “Things here move at a slower tempo.” Sonja added, “We don’t stir things up anymore.” Both statements appeared to be wildly untrue, as the clip teased what’s to come.
Ramona told viewers that “it’s been great meeting people our own age” before Sonja was shown talking to a much younger man. Sonja quipped, “I can’t do 22 again. It’s exhausting. I had to teach him everything he knows, like, I don’t get on top.”
“Consider this your invitation,” they all said, concluding the trailer. While a release date was not revealed, the show is set to premiere on E! in the fall.
What NOT to expect:
Jill Zarin.
The outspoken RHONY alum, best known for her appearance on RHONY’s Scary Island episodes, was cast on The Golden Life, but fired after she gave her unsolicited opinion on Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl Halftime Show.
E! said adios to the small-minded former reality TV star before the show ever made it to air. “In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life. We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”
ICYMI, Jill posted a reel expressing disgust over the halftime show, then doubled down in her Instagram Stories — calling the performance “inappropriate,” questioning the lack of white people, and framing it as a “political statement.”
