Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke said not to take the snarky comment Jennifer Tilly made about her being selfish in her former friendship with Garcelle Beauvais seriously.
“She didn’t mean it.”
Sutton’s side of the story:
In an interview with ET’s Brice Sander at BravoCon 2025, Sutton said the Chucky actress’s words hurt because she’s never lost a friend before. “How dare she say that?! I think Jennifer was in a moment of her own.”
“It was quickly squashed because obviously she didn’t mean it. I don’t know why she said it,” continued Sutton. “It stung. It was very surprising. I think it surprised Jennifer, to be honest. But, you’ll have to see what comes out of it.”
Sutton added, “I’ve been very sad that Garcelle and I aren’t besties anymore.”
“I’ve never lost a friend. I’m a good friend. So, it’s been very interesting.”
Bravo TV fans did not side with Sutton:
- At this point I’m hearing her say “I’m a good friend… I’m a good person” MORE THAN I’ve seen it!
- Sutton you take no responsibility for anything
- I call BS that Sutton has never lost a friend 😂
- I believe Jennifer
- Nice to see Sutton remains incapable of self-reflection and taking accountability 🤡
How we got here:
As RHOBH fans saw, Sutton and Garcelle’s close friendship quickly soured at the s14 reunion when Sutton failed to give Garcelle the bare minimum when she needed her support.
Garcelle walked away from the show and her friendship with Sutton in one fell swoop.
But, during a recent appearance on WWHL, Garcelle paused the promotion of her new Lifetime movie to proclaim finality in her former friendship. “Not only did she not have my back [at the reunion],” began Garcelle, “when she called me, she never took accountability for it. That hurt my feelings a lot.”
“We were really close. My kids would call her,” revealed Garcelle.
Still, the actress/model/Executive Producer looks back on the friendship “fondly.”
“We had some really good laughs. We were there for each other. Well, mostly me there for her. But, I don’t regret it.”
