Scheana Shay is taking a victory lap over Brett Caprioni’s recent engagement to longtime love Carli Bybel.
The former Vanderpump Rules star addressed Brett’s New Year’s Eve proposal on a recent episode of Scheananigans while answering fan questions about her current relationships with her season 8 castmates.
“I am so happy for them,” Scheana said, before reminding listeners that her memoir includes even more tea from that era.
Scheana went on to revisit a scene from season 8 that she claims was “the worst editing you’ve ever seen.”
Apparently, Bravo frankensliced two totally different conversations into one.
According to Scheana, one conversation was about her and Brett being better off as friends. The other was her encouraging him to get back together with Carli.
“When he was in L.A., I was like, ‘Dude, what are you doing? You have this amazing woman back home. Go to her,’” Scheana recalled.
“I love following [Carli] and watching their love story. It’s amazing.”
ICYMI: YouTube star Carli Bybel and Brett Caprioni dated from 2013 to 2017 after knowing each other since kindergarten.
The two rekindled their romance in late 2025 and got engaged on New Year’s Eve.
However, Scheana and Brett’s fling happened in late 2019/early 2020 and became a storyline on Vanderpump Rules season 8.
Brett was also dating Charli Burnett at that time.
