Rachael Kirkconnell is still processing her breakup with former Bachelor, Matt James.
Rachael won Matt’s season of the Bachelor, however the couple didn’t get engaged like seasons prior.
They dated for four years until Matt ended things after the couple had a heated argument over a dinner spot in Tokyo.
Not only did this blindside Rachael, it shook all of us.
“I definitely think it was still out of nowhere,” the 28-year-old told Us Weekly.
“And I do think that whether there was either some regret [regarding] the breakup in the first place — or at least the way that it was handled — that’s probably there [on his end] if I had to guess or if I had to say without saying.”
Yet — when she reflects on her relationship, she can’t help but feel bummed about the way it happened.
“It’s something to not dwell on, but something that I wonder if I’ll always be a little bummed out about.”
Don’t get it twisted though, the Internet personality is looking onward and upward two months post breakup.
“Im a very firm believer in thinking that it was a blessing in disguise and everything happens for a reason, and that that’s just something that needed to happen in my life,” she said.
“I don’t even know for what reason, but I’m trusting it. I’m trusting the process. I’m doing good and things are OK. As sad as it is, it happens for a reason.”
The Golden Era
Rachael has started working with Showpo — an Australian based online retailer.
She has an entire collection aptly titled “The Golden Era.”
“It was either pieces that will look absolutely stunning during golden hour [or] pieces that you can feel very confident in, pieces that are trendy and fun, but also a little more simple and elevated to where hopefully you can get a lot of wearers out of them or you’re able to style them a lot of different ways.”
Confidence is key, and Rachael has unlocked a new era — the Golden Era — and we love this for her!
