Southern Charm‘s Patricia Altschul asked fans of Michael Kelcourse to make his birthday extra special. Patricia’s charming and lovable butler, Michael, suffered another stroke.

Bravo TV‘s southern matron requested her fans, as well as Michael’s fans, send a card to the facility he’s living in for his upcoming birthday.

An update and a request:

“I am very sad to share that Michael has had another stroke,” announced Patricia. “I’m told that while he cannot read messages on his phone or Instagram; [however], he can receive cards.”

Michael’s “birthday is October 13,” continued Patricia. “It would be so nice if his fans could send him a card.”

“We are sure he would love to receive your birthday and well wishes. I know he means so much to many of you.”

Patricia and Michael’s history:

Michael worked for Patricia and her family for over 18 years and had a knack for making Patricia’s gin martinis. In 2015, Michael explained what his day to day working for Patricia entailed.

“[My job is] not just butlering, which is silver and answering the phone,” Michael explained when he stopped by the Southern Charm Season 5 After Show. “It’s a little bit of pet care, car care, shopping, assisting, traveling, packing, a little bit of everything.”

In February 2021, Michael suffered a spinal cord stroke, also known as an acute spinal cord infarction. He moved to Florida for rehabilitation and now lives in an assisted living facility.

Patricia has said that Michael is like a family member and that she misses him every day. She also said that Michael is still snarky and fun, and that he watches television and makes comments.
