Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes told Cynthia Bailey and Crystal Kung Minkoff why she didn’t accept a spot in The Traitors’ castle during the Humble Brag podcast.

“Yes. I was asked to do Traitors [and] I was excited to do it,” began the RHOA alum.
“I couldn’t do Traitors because my son’s been in the hospital. He’s still in the hospital since May.”
“A blogger said, ‘Nene did not take Traitors because the check wasn’t big enough.’ That’s not true. I got the check. I couldn’t do it.”

Comedians Rob Funches and Michael Rapaport and Laguna Beach/One Tree Hill alum, Stephen Colletti, will face off against Olympic figure skaters Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski.
