Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes is willing to “move forward” in her relationship with Andy Cohen, despite her filing a high-profile lawsuit against Bravo.
In an interview with Vulture, Nene, who sued the network in 2022 for allegedly fostering and tolerating a hostile and racist work environment, claimed that she and Andy are on good terms again since she dropped the lawsuit.
Next steps:
Despite Nene and Andy being on better terms, the duo has yet to speak in person. Nene is leaving it to her former boss to decide where they go from here. “I guess the question would be, ‘What would it take to get him back on those terms?’”
“I am the kind of person that, good or bad, time heals. You don’t have to be besties or anything like that, but I move forward. I’m not into holding negative energy.”
The legal deets:
Nene’s lawsuit named Andy Cohen as a defendant, accusing the network of dismissing her complaints about alleged racist comments made by her co-star Kim Zolciak.
“From the day the series began filming, NeNe was the target of systemic racism from co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen and other executives,” her lawyer wrote in a statement.
Four months later, Nene filed to dismiss the case.
During a recent interview with Vulture, Andy was asked about the lawsuit. He couldn’t “speak to that lawsuit, but it’s in the past.”
Andy’s POV:
Bravo TV’s exec told his radio show listeners he is “happy” Nene would be a part of the forthcoming installment of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.
“She’s gonna be making an appearance,” he said earlier this year. “When we go to Atlanta, she’s gonna be there.”
“People are really happy about it,” he added. “Listen, we are going to be celebrating 20 years of ‘Housewives,’ and it would be hard … to do without her. And so I’m happy about it.”
