Nema Vand was a guest on Vanderpump Rules star, Scheana Shay‘s Scheananigans podcast and gave a behind-the-scenes look into the Duracell Battery commercial Ariana Madix filmed in the house she still shares with cheater, Tom Sandoval.
Nema began by sharing how impressed he has always been by Ariana’s kindness – especially when he was new to the show, Shahs of Sunset. “When I would go to these Bravo events when you’re new, there’s a lot of ‘You can’t sit with us’ energy, at least in the beginning.”
“Ariana would always go out of her way and be like, ‘How are you doing? How are things? How are you enjoying the process?'”
He added, “I was always taken back by nice of a human being this person was.”
In case you missed it, Nema is a freelance director and worked on Ariana’s Duracell Battery commercial.
“When you are directing people in the VanderVerse, you have to be mindful there are real friendships there.”
“As we were getting ready for this shoot,” he explained, “we were inside of Ariana’s house. It’s an intimate space. We’re coming into your home. We’re there for a few hours. We have a clear script. Ariana’s a pro.”
That’s when it gets super awkward …
“As we’re setting up, Tom Sandoval walks downstairs. By now, the [Duracell Batteries] campaign is out and it’s really fun, creative thing about the batteries” … all (rightfully) at Tom’s expense.
“We went outside to the front yard and had a little chat together.”
Nema said the conversation was with the ‘worm with a mustache’ wase “fine,” but considering the (not-so) blind item that was exposed by Deux Moi, it doesn’t seem like Sandoval was fine at all.
The anonymous tip declared, “Sandoval is still throwing temper tantrums over everything Ariana is doing and all the support she is getting … He is not wanting her to film in the house anymore for any of her commercial deals she’s signed on for.”
