Mike White is continuing his tradition of inviting Survivor contestants to his scripted series for HBO Max, The White Lotus.
In case you missed it, before Mike White created his viral HBO dramedy, he competed on season 37 of Survivor. Just after Season 3 of The White Lotus dropped, Mike headed back to Fiji to compete on “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.” After being eliminated, he wrote the scripts for The White Lotus’s fourth season.
During the live Survivor 50 finale, host Jeff Probst interviewed Mike White via video call. The writer couldn’t make it to the Survivor taping in Los Angeles, as he’s currently shooting abroad.
Charlie Davis and Kamilla Karthigesu will soon be flying out to France to appear in “The White Lotus” Season 4, White said.
The main celebrity cast of season 4 ofThe White Lotus includes Laura Dern, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.
Supporting stars include Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet.
ICYMI, Laura Dern replaced Helena Bonham Carter after the eccentric actress had creative differences with Mike White.
Laura Dern, a frequent collaborator of Mike’s, will play an entirely new character specifically developed for her. Laura previously made a voice-only cameo in Season 2 as the estranged wife of Dominic Di Grasso.
