Mauricio Umansky assures audiences there’s no “bad blood” between him, Paris Hilton, and her family.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the star of Netflix‘s Buying Beverly Hills revealed more about his family’s longstanding feud than Bravo TV fans saw on thirteen seasons of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Mauricio addressed Paris’s statement that caused people to think there is bad blood between them.
Paris slammed her Uncle for using her family name to gain clout.
“It’s sad that she got so upset about that,” began Mauricio.
“But, at the end of the day, it was too businessmen making two business decisions.”
Regarding Mau’s decision to leave the Hilton & Hyland to start his own business, he explained, “I felt like I deserve something. I asked for something.”
Rick Hilton “didn’t wanna do it, and then I chose to go off on my own.”
Mauricio continued, “I wanted to take care of my family and I wanted to be successful. I wanted to go forward,” but I “made that decision just to go forward with this thing.”
“Certainly, [there’s] no bad blood on my side.”
It sure looks like there is bad blood between Mauricio and the Hiltons:
During a preview for Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio and his colleagues enjoyed wine while throwing his estranged wife’s family under the bus.
“So, I think I got fucked by Hilton & Hyland,” explained Mau. “And when I say, fucked, you know, like, today, I’m happy.”
“But, there was 100 agents at Hilton & Hyland. They did $1 billion for the first time a year.”
“I was 19.6% of their production. I went to Rick and I said, ‘I’d really like equity and to be a partner.’”
“Basically I was told, ‘No,’” explained Mauricio.
Paris has bad blood with Mauricio:
Paris called her Uncle Mauricio out for “using the Hilton name” to gain clout.
Instagram’s @QueensOfBravo posted a preview for the second season of Buying Beverly Hills in which Mauricio spoke of getting ‘fucked’ by the Hilton family.
After seeing the preview of Buying BH, Paris slipped into the comment section to defend her dad and slam her Uncle Mauricio in one fell swoop.
Although Mauricio may not have bad blood with the Hiltons, it seems Paris has a bone to pick with her estranged Uncle.
