Lizzy Savetsky Reveals Why She Stopped Filming the RHONY Reboot — Backs Ubah Hassan

Lizzy Savetsky is revealing why she opted to walk away from the Real Housewives of New York reboot.

Amid the season 15 drama surrounding Brynn Whitfield’s fall from grace, former RHONY reboot’s Lizzy Savetsky has entered the chat.

The social media influencer and activist exclusively revealed to Page Six that Brynn played a part in her decision to walk away from the franchise.

Lizzy Has Ubah’s Back

“I stand behind Ubah and I’m so glad that her life wasn’t ruined over this,” Lizzy tells Page Six.

“Ubah is Muslim and I’m Jewish and we had nothing but an incredibly loving conversation. She’s such a special person and to see something like this happen to her really breaks my heart.”

The Jewish activist felt vindicated watching Brynn’s attempt at tap dancing on the truth at Ubah’s expense.

In 2022, Lizzy stopped filming when she and Brynn got into a heated argument on camera about her decision to solely set up Jewish people in her match making hobby.

“I felt extremely upset by the fact that production just kept rolling when that happened because they all knew about the antisemitism that I had been experiencing. I was so concerned that this scene was going to create more antisemitism.”

A source revealed to the publication that Brynn was triggered by Lizzy’s use of “pure bloodline” in relation to her preference to only set up Jewish people.

Since Brynn is a biracial black woman, she naturally took offense to the sentiment.

“I told her she was free to date whoever she wants but my hobby of matchmaking was directly tied to my anxiety about the continuity of the Jewish people. I actually explained on camera that we currently have less Jews in the world than we did before the Holocaust.”

More Context

However, Lizzy’s exit from the franchise has more to do with her husband, Ira, than her own decision to part ways.

Allegedly Brynn had a heated phone call saying that she was going to tell everyone that Lizzy used the N-word when referring to black people.

Ira got irate about Brynn’s threat, and repeated it back to producers, cause them great discomfort with him repeating the slur.

Allegedly, production felt that Lizzy’s announcement she shared with the public to leave the franchise on account of receiving antisemitic attacks was the same tactic Brynn used to bend the truth.

“It’s a mistake that he completely owns up to and it’s the only time I’ve ever heard him say it.”

“At the end of the day, I hold production accountable more than anyone. I’ve moved on. I would never do this show.”
