The Traitors US season 4 star Lisa Rinna thinks a future documentary about the Real Housewives will be in the works after the success of Netflix‘s Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model series.
Rinna “OWNED” her opinion on the One Nightstand podcast while promoting her book You Better Believe I’m Going To Talk About It.
Lisa the soothsayer:
“I think with Tyra [Banks] coming out with the America’s Next Top Model documentary, I think in a certain amount of time, something like that will come out around the Housewives.”
When asked whether Rinna would sit down for a tell-all documentary about Bravo, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum responded, “I don’t know about that.”
“I don’t know if I would do that, but I think it’ll happen down the line. I think it’ll happen with everything, especially in reality television.”
Let’s talk about The Reality Reckoning …
ICYMI, the “reality reckoning” was a movement initiated by former RHONY star Bethenny Frankel to unionize reality television performers and combat exploitation. It sought to address toxic working conditions, lack of residuals, and unfair contracts in the industry. The movement gained traction in 2023, aiming for fair compensation and better labor protections.
The movement’s core issues highlighted the exploitation of performers, lack of residuals (share of profits) when shows are re-aired, and abusive environments.
Although the Reality Reckoning fizzled out by 2025 without causing major systemic changes, it sparked intense debate and legal action from some stars. The movement struggled to gain broad industry momentum and was met with resistance from network leadership.
What the ANTM doc revealed:
The three-part 2026 docuseries exposed the toxic, exploitative, and often traumatic behind-the-scenes reality of the show.
It featured interviews with Tyra Banks, the Judges, and former contestants. The doc revealed how contestants were subjected to unethical treatment, harsh criticisms, and dangerous scenarios for ratings.
