Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna is fond of Spencer Pratt as a reality TV star, but doesn’t support The Hills‘ villain for mayor of Los Angeles.
Variety interviewed Rinna on the red carpet outside the American Music Awards at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. When asked who she is supporting for mayor, Lisa revealed, “I don’t know yet.”
With that said, Rinna knows who she isn’t supporting for a role in government and that’s Spencer. “Not a reality star, though,” Rinna said with conviction. “I love him [Pratt], but we’ve already done that. We’re not going to do that again,” she said, in an apparent reference to President Donald Trump, another former reality TV star [The Apprentice].
Lisa isn’t sure why people are for Pratt. “You got me, because listen, I’m a reality person. You wouldn’t want me as mayor, really. I mean, let’s just face it, I love him and I think he’s amazing. I just think we did that.”
“Let’s have somebody that’s already been mayor — the mayor of San Jose, or whoever,” Rinna said, citing Matt Mahan, who is a candidate for governor. After being corrected, Rinna added, “I like him for governor.”
Spencer, who once starred on the Princes of Malibu, gained traction in the polls by attacking incumbent Karen Bass over the city’s handling of the Palisades fire in January 2025. He’s attracted support from the likes of Jax Taylor, Joe Rogan, and Nick Viall.
