Thank goodness for Abbott Elementary, as you won’t see Lisa Ann Walter competing on Dancing with the Stars anytime soon.
Despite the actress’s weekly trips to the DWTS ballroom to support her best friend, Elaine Hendrix, Lisa Ann told PEOPLE she said, ‘No,’ to multiple offers to compete.
So you’re saying there’s a chance …
Lisa Ann revealed she’s been asked to join ABC’s competition show “numerous times,” but there’s one major obstacle holding her back.
“I am in an incredible position right now in a very dicey industry,” began Lisa Ann, “where I’m on a hit show.”
Unfortunately for Lisa Ann and her fans, the issue is in the timing. Since Abbott Elementary and DWTS “happen to film at the same time,” it just wouldn’t work.
Lisa Ann got a taste of filming both ABC shows, and it was too much. “Even doing one episode with Elaine was so time-consuming that I don’t know how I could do it if the seasons run the same.” (ICYMI, Lisa Ann performed on season 34’s Dedication Night with Elaine and her pro-partner, Alan Bersten.)
“They used to do two seasons a year,” Lisa Ann added. “If they did a spring season, call me!”
