Elaine Hendrix wasn’t able to put any “tricks” on display during Dancing with the Stars’ Halloween Night.
Ahead of Tuesday’s live show, Elaine was rushed to the hospital after aggravating a rib injury she sustained during last week’s Wicked-themed performance to “Defying Gravity.”
“The doctor said with a day or two of rest, I should be able to continue,” Elaine shared on Instagram.
“I want to dance, I want to keep doing this.”
Although she and pro partner Alan Bersten couldn’t compete live, the judges scored their final rehearsal.
The duo still pulled impressive 8s across the board, including from special guest judge Cheryl Burke.
Elaine pushing through pain and physical limitations shows just how committed she is to this journey.
ICYMI: Elaine’s history with serious injury dates back to 1992, when she was hit by a car while riding her bike in Los Angeles.
The accident drastically shifted her path from dance to acting and resulted in a titanium joint in her foot.
Despite the setback this week, thanks to the combined judges’ scores and viewer votes, Elaine and Alan are SAFE to dance another week — if her body allows it.
Next week: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night!
