Lala Kent discussed her former podcast co-host, Jess Walter, during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
The mom of two threw shade at her former friend staffer before wishing her well.
What happened with Jess?
Lala described the fan backlash. “It’s so wild because it’s like, ‘Where were you when she was on the pod? Nowhere to be found. All I heard was, ‘Get her off.'”
“At the end of the day, [Jess] was my employee. She wanted to go and move on with her life. I would be a crazy person to not say, ‘Go and achieve everything you want to achieve.'”
“People want an explanation.” She used her mother as an example. “Let’s just say my mom was like, ‘I no longer want to be helping you. Like, I need to go and experience life as a 64-year-old and see what’s out there.’ By all means, go be free. Fly.”
Jess chose to leave Lala’s pod:
“Yes,” it was Jess’s choice to leave. “I’m so used to [getting blamed],” Lala complained, “So I’m unphased by it.”
“At the end of the day, she was employed by Lala Kent. You’re no longer employed. I wish you the best. Have a great life.”
Lala explained, “I’ve learned a lot in many relationships in my life. From my ex-fiancé to certain friends I’ve had to employees I’ve had, in every single thing I’ve experienced in the past 2-3 years, I have learned something. I don’t regret anything. But I know how to make things different.”

- Wow! Lala has become so cold in the last 10 months or so. The way she just turns on people that have been really good to her is very troubling. Jess was at her side for her daughter’s birth in September! I really hope Scheana realizes she could be in the same boat too one day. I have been a Lala fan since 2015 , but no more .
