Lala Kent isn’t racing to rebuild a friendship with her former Vanderpump Rules co-star, Katie Maloney, in 2025.
During an episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Lala explained what soured between her and Katie.
Different POVs:
Katie “was my everything,” began Lala. But, “Neither of us have reached out to each the other since the reunion.”
Regarding season 11 of VPR, “It was the strangest season I’ve ever been a part of. It was all very sad.”
“Katie and I have two very different viewpoints on what happened in the demise of our friendship. She sees it one way,” explained Lala. “I don’t like that I was painted as a person who pockets information and brings it out at a convenient time. That’s not what happened.”
Don’t hold your breath for a reconciliation:
“We can go over this the whole live-long day, [but] it doesn’t matter. What’s done is done,” declared Lala.
“We may be able to rebuild at some point. Or, we may never see each other again. Who the f*ck knows?”
“But, I do want her to be happy in her life. She deserves that.”

This all stemmed from what was revealed in part one of the season 11 Pump Rules reunion. Katie confided in Lala during the time she and Ariana Madix were in the thick of opening Something About Her.
Katie shared her frustration with her then-friend, Lala, about Ariana performing on Broadway while they were trying to open their highly anticipated (and long-awaited) sandwich shop.
This is where Katie and Lala’s takes on what went down seemingly splays.
Katie confided in Lala as a friend, off-camera. She felt that conversation should have remained private, rather than a talking point at the reunion.
Lala claims her conversation with Katie was not confidential. “These are statements she made to production and then flipped the script on everybody last minute.”
However, “There were confidential conversations between the two of us. I did not and will not say anything that [Katie] said or I said in those conversations.”
Lala doubled down, “That particular conversation that I brought up in last night’s reunion … production was involved in that conversation.”
