Kristen Doute revealed she had the opportunity to be a contestant on The Bachelor, but didn’t want to rock the boat with her then-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval.
On an episode of the Balancing Act podcast, The Valley Star told Bachelor Nation‘s Joe Amabile how her future on reality tv would have played out differently if she didn’t date the Vanderpump Rules villain.
Kristen’s chance at entering Bach Nation happened when she “worked at SUR way before Vanderpump Rules or The Valley or The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. When we didn’t even have a liquor license [and] I was bartending the wine and beer bar.”
“Someone from The Bachelor came in and gave me a card and asked me to be a contestant on it.” She declined the offer because she wasn’t single. “I had just started dating Tom Sandoval so I was like, ‘No. This [relationship] could be forever.’ I could have been on Bachelor Nation instead of Bravo.”
‘Grocery Store’ Joe asked if Sandoval wasn’t in the picture, would she have considered going on ABC’s juggernaut dating show. “I think so,” answered Kristen. “But I thought you get paid or get a weekly something.” The former Vanderpump Rules star was shocked to learn that contestants don’t get paid on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. “So you have to leave your job and everything [in your life]?”
- she’d never earn herself a rose 🥀
- When has she ever been single?
- I’m not mad at the idea of watching Kristen live in a house with all the other women who are dating the guy she likes. 🤷🏻♀️
- The only things shes ever been on is peoples nerves
- She shouldn’t be on anything! Most annoying person ever! The Valley is horrible because of Kristin! She hasn’t changed one bit!!!
