The Simple LifeĀ legend’s long blonde locks cascaded over her sequined, Barbie-pink mini dress. The heiress accessorized with matching pink gloves and shimmering rose-colored sunnies.

Paris and Kathy’s complicated history:
I recently read Paris, The Memoir with my book club. Like many, I heard the headlines after Paris’s book was released and was shocked to hear about her trauma. Reading what happened to her is a completely different experience.
As a result of Paris’s undiagnosed and untreated ADHD, the socialite was a wild child. After years of acting out, she was sent to a series of boarding schools. The trauma Paris and the other kids endured at the institutions is unimaginable. However, Paris’s parents were convinced ‘behavioral boarding school’ was their last hope.
Paris even managed to run away from her ‘keepers’ at one point. Just as Paris was acclimating back into society, her parents tracked her down. Unfortunately, she was forced back into the abusive institution by her parents … after she detailed what happened to her and the other teens.
Paris and Kathy’s relationship took a turn for the positive when they filmed Paris In Love together.Ā āDuring the show was when we started going to therapy together. I know that she had no idea what was happening, just like every other parent who sends their children to these types of schools. It was really healing for both of us to finally talk about that, and lift that weight off my shoulders before I got married and moved on to the next phase of my life.ā
