Melissa and Joe Gorga have new neighbors … Joe’s cousin Kathy Wakile and her husband, Richie Wakile. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was a guest on Jeff Lewis Live and gave a neighborhood update.
New neighbors:
Melissa heard that Kathy and Richie got first bids on the available lot because Joe bid on it, also. Kathy has a connection to the realtor and snagged it before the Gorgas could. “I have a funny story for you about [Kathy and Richie]. She and Richie just bought a lot across the street from me and are building a house diagonal from me. On my street, literally.”
“I lived on the other street first, also, then my sister-in-law [Teresa Giudice] moved onto the street. Now, I’m on this street and now Kathy’s moving across the street.” Apparently, the Wakiles will drive by the Gorga’s home whenever they leave the neighborhood.
A possible reunion?
“I secretly hope Joe and Kathy are walking down the street on day and bump into each other. At the end of the day, Kathy is a good person. I do think [Joe] regrets – he did what he had to do at the time to back his sister up and do what he had to do – but, he enjoyed Kathy. Kathy was a good cousin to him. [She] took care of him. He had a great relationship with Rosie. Growing up, those two were really close.”
“So, I do think it’s unfortunate that that’s family and they’re not together. Look at me, I have my cousin sitting next to me. We are all about family. Screw the show. This has nothing to do with the show. This is truly about Joe having a cousin who lives across the street from him. It feels like it would be weird not to.”
“It’s a first cousin, not a distant cousin. Her mother is still here and doing well – Joe’s aunt. That’s sad to me.” Jeff Lewis challenged Melissa to be the one to extend an olive branch to The Wakiles, for Joe’s sake. Melissa said she would, so stay tuned for the follow-up!
