In a preview for Real Housewives of Potomac, Karen Huger‘s dear friend Cookie met up with Gizelle Bryant, Keiarna Stewart, and Ashley Darby for lunch.
Cookie caught Karen’s cast mates up, letting them know her long-time friend was staying strong behind bars and had good relationships with her fellow inmates.
Keeping Up With Karen:
According to Gizelle, “Cookie’s been really good friends with Karen Huger for years.” In fact, Cookie was with Karen in the courthouse the day she was taken into custody. Karen’s close friend called Gizelle immediately after.
Ashley asked about the sentencing. “How was she when that happened?”
“She was very strong,” Cookie replies.
Gizelle asked, “Because of her sentencing and what she’s in there for, do they automatically put her into some sort of alcohol program?”
Cookie said yes, comparing it to rehabilitation programs for those who are locked up for drug-related crimes.
Life in the clink:
Cookie shared that Karen’s time has been spent “exercising a lot.” Also, Karen “reads a lot of books” to help time pass.
The RHOP ladies asked Cookie how Karen was handling living amongst all the other women in jail. Gizelle noted she was “fearful” for her friend. They joked about the “jail movies” stereotype. Gizelle worried someone would try to “make their mark” on Karen.
Cookie further revealed that there was a possibility of an early release for Karen. Although she wouldn’t say when, fans now know that Karen was released last month after completing just six months of her year-long sentence.
