JoJo Fletcher was too ahead of her time!
The former Bachelorette told StyleCaster she had some “hot take scoop” about why she wasn’t allowed to compete on Dancing With the Stars following her season.
“I was asked to do Dancing With the Stars after my Bachelorette season. This was obviously like 10 years ago,” JoJo began.
“It was kind of, like, not allowed.”
ICYMI: After finishing as the runner-up on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor, JoJo went on to lead her own journey to love on Season 12 of The Bachelorette.
JoJo met her now-husband, Jordan Rodgers, during the season, with the couple getting engaged during the finale.
They went on to marry on May 14, 2022, and welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Romy Blair Rodgers, in December 2025.
“I got asked and then I got blocked by the show to not go on,” JoJo continued.
She added that she was “devastated” she couldn’t compete, but at the time, the reality star was “still under contract” with the network.
Today’s climate is completely different.
Dancing With the Stars has actually faced some flak this season for seemingly favoring contestants with ties to the Disney/ABC family.
The Savannah Bananas have ties to Disney, Jenna Dewan stars on ABC’s The Rookie, and Tyler Cameron himself is a heartthrob straight out of Bachelor Nation.
So, DWTS, do your thing for Season 36! JoJo has waited long enough.
